Home Sweet Home

Just after moving back to Grand Rapids after a 5 year stint in Chicago, we bought a house together in Rockford.  We moved in mid-March, 2010 and have been busy decorating and furnishing the 3,000 square feet space ever since.

The house has great bones, but needed some TLC in the decorating department so we painted every wall in the place, put in new carpet upstairs, new hardwood floors in the kitchen/dining room and are slowing adding new appliances, additional furniture and decor.

 We have many, many more projects to keep us busy, but as they say "slow and steady wins the race".  (Oh, and there is that tiny thing called a budget that keeps me in line too!)

We're Married

My life as a Strahota officially started on June 25, 2011 as George and I said "I Do" at First Park Congregation Church in front of our family and friends.  It was the most perfect day of my life - the weather was beautiful, we were surrounded by family and friends, and I officially became a Mrs.!  I am so excited for George and I as we start this new chapter in our lives together - I know its going to be one hell of a fabulous ride!
